ABOUT

At the age of twelve, my dream to become a professional footballer came to an abrupt end. I had chosen that end myself, because thanks to a school competition I was bitten by the beautiful sport of triathlon. I learned to swim relatively late, but thanks a patient father as a coach and his infinite enthousiasme I was rewarded with a great technique. Only two years later I joined the top in Belgian triathlon.

At the age of eighteen I won my first European junior title in Gÿor. From then on it started rolling pretty fast and I was able to build a beautiful national and international career with participation at the 2008 Olympic Games as an absolute highlight.

After losing my father in 2012 I decided to retire happily and take over his legacy as a coach. 5 years later I’m glad with the things I’ve already reached as a coach, and with the smiles on the faces of my athletes after winning national titles and taking several 70.3 Age Group wins home.
